For the second year in a row, UP A TONE Events Agency had the incredible privilege of planning, conceptualising & collaborating on the For Women in Science Gala Awards event with the L’Oreal South Africa team.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards was first created in 1998 with a distinctive aim to improve the position of women in science by recognising the outstanding contribution that women researchers have made to scientific progress.

The event was held at @Sandton Hotel in Benmore Sandton on the 26th of September 2024, and welcomed over 130 science enthusiasts, media publications & associated-foundation members. The gala awards dinner celebrated 7 winning female scientists who were strategically selected by a team of highly-ranked Jury members for their contribution & dedication to Science in South Africa. The event host for the evening was Radio Presenter, Actress & Public Figure, Anele Mdoda.

The UP A TONE Events Agency Team were thrilled with the event’s success and are very proud of the winning Scientists for their achievements.
